ok i am building a computer and im trying to find a cheap but good video cards for gaming and videos. im trying to find something under $200 but has really good graphics for movies and gaming.|||If you want a good graphics card under 200$ i will tell you just the thing you need.
The options are the xfx nvidia geforce 9800gt which cost around 130$ or the xfx ati radeon hd 4770 which cost around 110$.
With these two cards you will play most of the latest games at high settings very smoothly.
For me i am using the hd 4770 and i am playing games like crysis and modern warfare 2 with high settings with no lags at all.
So you should get the hd 4770 which performes much better than 9800gt and even performes just like the 9800gtx with a cheaper price tag.
And yes you will be able to watch hd videos at high quality.|||The Asus 9800 GT 512 MB is about AU$139 (something like US$110) and it is fine. It runs The Elder Scroll 4: Oblivion fine on full graphic quality. It will probably run Modern Warfare 2 on about Medium graphics, depending on your processor. The 1GB newer version of this card is about AU$170 (about US$150) and is probably really good, I've got the 512 version.
