Do you think this is a good video card for a custom gaming pc?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…

I am not a hardcore gamer just and average gamer

i want to play games like cod4, counterstrike etc. (usual)

i would love to play games like crysis, bioshock, etc.

if this is not good enough to handle what would you recommend in that price range from new egg

please help me and thanks|||It will be able to handle most games because it is a pretty decent video card. Although I don't know if it will run crysis. Crysis has crazy requirements and I'm not sure that that card will be able to handle it.|||nVidia geforce graphics cards are the best. Anything over the 8800 series will give you some beautiful views!|||geforce usually has great products, and i think it should be fine. I play bioshock and crysis with it (not the same exact one) but it's a good brand.|||hmm just to let you know before buying your graphic card you should check how much ram and proccesing speed you have cause sometimes your new graphic card might just slow down your computer|||For games such as COD4, CS:source and other such games, this card would be perfect.

But for newer games, especially Crysis, you would need a faster Graphics card to run them at good quality and acceptable framerates.

This is a better option, but it costs more as well:

But the 9000 series is going to give you a good boost in performance.|||Counterstrike will run fine on that, cod4 - probably on low to medium settings.

I HIGHLY doubt crysis would run - you'd prolly need extra low settings for it to work.

I suggest you save another $50 and get a decent 8800GT, but a lot of them seem to be out of stock at the moment: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…

But at least this way you can be sure things like bioshock and crysis could at least run.|||If you want to play COD 4 you will need at least a 9600GT or so. Here is one with free shipping that is only a little more than the one you chose. The 8600 series is quite old and on its way out now. I would really recommend saving up at least $160 and buying a 9800GTX, but your computer may not have enough power for that.

Its a decent card, but the CPU and the rest of the stuff matter as well|||You might be able to get away with that on CoD, but definitely not Crysis. For Crysis, you need a minimum 8800GT. I would suggest an 8800GT or 9800GT.
