Is this a good Video Card for gaming?

http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=…

most video cards are all at least $100, this one is less than half.|||8400GS is a piece of junk... Get a card that has at least a 128-bit wide memory bus and you will be a little happier...

My own opinion however is to get a card that has at least a 256-bit wide memory bus and is at least DirectX 10 capable...|||Nope|||It's decent by today's standards. It really depends on what you consider good...that video card can play most games, but you'll be playing at low for recent games (even some older ones). Some of the high-end games will probably lag on that card, even on low. Don't even think of playing on a resolution higher than 1024x768.

If you really want to play games, and on high detail and resolution, it's worth it to pay for a better card. When a graphics card is cheap, it's cheap for a reason.|||NO WAY. This card is complete crap and its outdated as well. If you want to do gaming, you NEED to spend at least $100 for decent performance. Anything below won't handle gaming too well at all and should just be used for video, HD, and possible 3d modeling (google sketchup).|||NO it is not up to the job. You need at least a ATI Radeon 4670 4770, Radeon HD 5570 or Nvidia 9600gt or GT240ddr5

You will need a 400watt psu or greater with the above.|||If you would have done a search for it, you would have found that it is not. Try researching on your own before you ask a question.|||No. The 8400 GS is adequate for HD video viewing, not 3-D gaming.

These $40-$55 cards are capable of running most any game, although the most demanding would have to run at low resolutions. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcom…
