GeForce 9500 GT 1GB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

I have a Compaq Presario SR2020NX, AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+ 1.79 GHz, 2 GBs RAM, a 350W power supply, and a 23" 1080p monitor.
Looking to make it a GOOD (though obviously not great) gaming computer... I just want to run games full screen without choppiness.|||ddr2 is not the same as gddr2...
The issue is not the gddr2, the issue is the bus width of the card in question and the overall computer.
It will make a decent gaming computer. You are being limited by the 128mb bus width of the card, and you would be much better off with a 9600 GT 1gb/256 or GTS 250 a.k.a. 9800 GTX+.
However, you are pushing your power supply to the limit with the 9500 GT, so those cards are out of the option, less you plan to upgrade your power supply...
Then if you decide to do that, you might run in to bottlenecking issues with your CPU. You have a 64 bit single core processor which will cause a lot of games to lag, regardless of what video card you have. Of course you can lower the settings and have much better gameplay.
So for the setup for what you have, I would say that the 9500 GT is the perfect fit - reason being, you cannot get a card with a higher bus width without upgrading your power supply, and then would run in to bottlenecking issues.
You best bet is the 9500 GT - I am not saying that is the best card, I am saying that that is the best card to work with your current system.|||I don't know what sockets that machine/motherboard has so will it work..hard to say.
Will it be good enough to play games....what games? whate are the spec's of the games you want to play...solitaire...YES...the latest first person shooter game...probably not.
More info would help us give a full answer :)|||It will work but, It is running DDR2 ram which is kinda slow for a graphics card and might cause tearing and choppiness. You can spend maybe another $40 and order a decent card from tigerdirect. Maybe a 9800gt or something similar.
