whats better for my set up gaming wise
m3n78 pro motherboard
2.3 triple core amd processor
4 gb ram
moniter max res is 1600x768|||Geforce 9800gt will
beat 9600gt at any day! It has total 112 cuda cores as compared to the 64
cores of 9600gt.
Amount of memory like 512 mb or 1 gb
doesn't matter at all
for the cards in this
range.1 gb of memory only useful on higher
resolutions like 1920x1080 provided
that your card have
enough firepower to
handle it.upto the resolutions like 1680x1050,both 512
and 1 gb cards like to
perform almost same.
Neither 9600gt or the
9800gt are good enough for 1920x1080.9800gt can handle games upto 1680x1050 fine
so don't waste your
money on 1 gb models.get the 512 mb version.
For the price of 9800gt,better look for
geforce gts 250.it is
faster and can handle
latest games on your
native resolution easily.
this is a very good deal
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…|||get the 9800 it may have half the memory but it has much more processing power then the 9600. The only way you'd use so much video memory is on extensive graphics. Most games don't require 1Gb graphics cards yet. (No doubt they will later though) Still, you would better benefit with the extra horsepower the 9800 will give you.|||I would definately suggest PNY GeForce 9500 GT 1024MB PCI-Express 2.0 VGA + DVI Graphics Card VCG951024GXEB
*NVIDIA Unified Architecture
*Full Microsoft DirectX 10 support
*NVIDIA CUDA technology support
*NVIDIA PhysX technology support
*Microsoft Windows 7 support

Also check out at Ebay there are really good deals going
http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-…|||the 9800 seems to have superior specs minus the amount of memory...
i'd see the what the game you want recommends video memory wise. why wouldn't you get like a 2-series though? they're newer and similarly priced.|||i would definitely go for the evga geforce 9800gt 512 mb video card.its faster than the 9600GT and it comes with a lifetime warranty|||9800 gt by far.|||9800gt 512mb by a very good margin.
